100 free social media resources

The professional social media marketing community website, SocialMediopolis.com, today released a list of the Top 100 free social media resources for downloading.

The list entails free eBooks, white papers, newsletter and magazine subscriptions, research briefs, technical papers, buyers guides and more. A huge range of social media and technology subjects, appropriate for small businesses as well as enterprise level companies are included

Highlights include training materials on how to market on Facehook as well as how properly to use Twitter, manage Yelp, Digg and other social service sites. This list will be very helpful to anyone interested in learning more about social media and social marketing.

My take? There’s quite a range of information on offer here and with superficial look through, it seems that many are marketing collateral. But overall, I think it is a worthwhile curation.

The listing is an obvious lead generation tactic and users have to give up a lot of information to get access to the free documents. So anyone signing up should be careful about ticking and unticking boxes to manage the amount of spam that results.
