Matthew Goodman started his current role at the Forum of Private Business in October of 2007. As the Head of Policy, Matt is responsible for developing the Forum's positions on key policy areas and also leads their lobbying work in the UK and Brussels. He represents the Forum on the Government's Small Business Forum and has worked on almost all of the key issues for small employers, including late payment, employment law, pensions, taxation and skills and training. Matthew completed a Master's in European Policy and Governance at the London School of Economics in 2004. After finishing his degree, he spent nearly two years in Washington D.C. working for an international trade association, representing companies trading between the United States and Taiwan.
