About the Author
Thorsten Schliesche is Vice President Sales and Marketing, Napster Europe, making him responsible for all of Napster’s sales and marketing activities across Europe, as well as Napster’s operations in Great Britain. He reports directly to Napster president Brad Duea in Los Angeles. Thorsten is also responsible for all Napster operations in Germany. His specific strategic responsibilities include: market research; overseeing communications and branding; identification and targeting of local distribution channels to drive Napster subscribers across both new and existing platforms; and extension of global platform partnerships. Prior to Napster, Thorsten focused on digital distribution and music as leading Manager at T-Online International. His responsibilities included the development and introduction of the German online music service Musicload, as well as being a pivotal member of T-Online’s strategy department, where he took care of eCommerce and digital payment issues. Before his role at T-Online, Thorsten built up and managed Viatel’s market research and market analysis department as European Research Manager. Thorsten completed his degree in chemistry at the FH Fresenius in Wiesbaden.
