Demand For IT Executives Trebles
Latest statistics from InterExec, the confidential Agent for executives seeking £150k to £1million+, today revealed that the demand for senior IT professionals has increased, with the number of unadvertised vacancies notified to the Agent almost trebling, with 194% growth recorded in the first two months of 2010.
InterExec has compiled the list of the top 6 professional disciplines being handled by over 2000 headhunters sought be employers, according to the number of senior unadvertised vacancies notified to them.
IT professionals top the list, followed closely by management consultants, who have seen an 146% increase in notifications in January and February of this year. Even the banking industry has seen a 69% increase in the number of unadvertised vacancies of bankers being notified.

The analysis is based on market information representing approximately 50% of the UK’s unadvertised headhunter vacancies, which was collated by InterExec, which specialises in promoting senior executives and works with UK and international headhunters.
Kit Scott Brown, chief executive of InterExec, commented: “The demand for senior executives across almost all sectors is increasing with IT and Management Consultants being most highly sought. However, whilst the demand for senior executives is increasing, the fact that almost a third of headhunters have quit the industry over the last couple of years means that many senior executives may be left unaware of the employment opportunities, which is why an increasing number are looking to employ their own ‘agent’ to manage their prospects.”
