Thanks for the comment Avi. I believe we’ve given enterprises a valid approach with the ISYS Anywhere search server. The solution marries what had previously been our web and desktop applications. As such, the solution is configured and administered at the server level, which of course makes it accessible from any of the usual lineup of browser-enabled devices (Blackberry, iPhone, etc.). But what gives this life is the ability of ISYS Anywhere’s desktop client component to synchronise with the search server, meaning the end user can incorporate email, desktop files, etc. along with their enterprise collections. This is really the key component, since mobile access to enterprise content is only half the story. Local files are key, and our history on this end of the market made it rather straightforward for us to produce this solution

The following links shed more light on our approach. Happy to answer any additional questions. I’d be curious to hear if this topic has come up much with your clients.

Hi Nicky,

I hope you can offer some practical ideas for linking enterprise search with mobile devices. Beyond a flexible liquid results page layout, is there anything special that is needed?
