Beyond the reliability of the hosting solution itself, owners of start-ups and small businesses need a provider that recognises the importance of good quality customer service, and the role that this can play in helping to build their business. Rather than entirely on new business, hosting solution providers may want to consider committing resources towards their client service operation. This way, they can ensure that there is always a qualified technician available for their customers to speak to directly in the event of a problem.

While a company’s website may be crucial to its success, the people that work with and for that company are just as important in making sure that it keeps moving forward. When sourcing providers of hosting solutions and other essential services, new and small businesses are also looking for partners who can work with them as they grow and become more successful. Those service providers that leave their customers with an inflexible package, without the necessary support or consultancy, are never going to be these partners, and should no longer be considered a viable option by growing businesses.
